Capsule Summary

The Toccata, Op. 7 and the complete Carnaval, Op. 9 are taken from Adam Skoumal’s Studio Matouš recording. No overall tempo manipulation is present. Track 10, Sphinxes, involves digital editing: Hatto replaces Skoumal’s arpeggiated chords with single chords copied from earlier in the piece. The Fantasy in C major, Op. 17 is played by Michael Studer. The first two movements have been subjected to tempo manipulation. Most notably, the leaps in the last part of the second movement are sped up by 10.49%.
